Troubleshooting

Problem:  Printer turns on but won't grip or feed paper.

There are 2 wire clips on either side of the ribbon cage that holds the paper against the print bar.
Sometimes in shipping they pop off. They are easy to check and reseat if they have come off.

Here’s how to check:

1> Open both front and back clamshell covers of printer

2> Locate the wire clips on either side of the ribbon case (see clip off diagram below)

3> Check to see that the clip is behind the metal stop (see clip on diagram below)
 

4> If it has come off on either side it can be put back in place using a flat blade screw driver
 

5> Close covers and try printing again
